We have put together this blog post to answer some of the most common questions about Outdoor Quest.

1. What is Outdoor Quest and how do you play it?

Outdoor Quest is an immersive treasure hunt with some added strategy and a modern twist. Think of it like an outdoor escape room. After downloading our game booklets and reading a short introductory story, you will find a list of clues leading to items you will have to locate or specific tasks you will need to complete. Tasks are completed by taking photos with your mobile phone. Each item on your list will give you 1, 2 or 3 gold coins depending on difficulty and the first person or team to reach 40 gold coins wins (30 coins in the Family Quest). If playing alone, you can end the game at 40 coins or complete as many tasks as you like to maximise your entries for the prize draw.

2. How long does a Quest last on average?

You need at least 2.5 hours to reach 40 coins, but a full Quest might last up to 4 hours, so be sure to make a day of it! Note that the Family Quest will take on average 2 hours to complete.

3. Do I have to book a Quest to play it?

Nope. The great outdoors are big enough for us all. After downloading your game booklet(s) from our website, you can start the Quest whenever you like! However, do bear in mind that you will have to start the game within one month of purchase if you would like to secure your prize draw entries.

4. How many game booklets do I have to purchase when playing with or against other people?

While Outdoor Quest is more fun when playing with friends, it is against our Terms and Conditions to make unauthorised copies of our Quests. Furthermore, each Quest is provided with an individual licence. This means that when playing as a group or against each other, you will have to purchase one Quest for each player. Remember that every person in your party will qualify for our monthly prize draw, so it’s a good idea not to try and flout this, and it will also spare you the legal trouble!

5. How do I earn entries for the prize draw?

When completed correctly, each task will award a certain amount of gold coins. Each gold coin represents an entry for the prize draw. Additionally, some tasks require a measure of creativity. These can earn you an additional entry when you deliver something truly original. After submitting your photos, you will know within 24 hours how many entries you have received. You can also earn extra entries via referral.

6. How does the referral programme work?

After completing a Quest, refer a friend and we will give you an extra 10 entries for the prize draw if they also make a purchase on our website. All we need is an email address, and you can refer as many friends as you like!

7. How do I claim a prize?

Prize winners will be contacted individually and asked to choose from one of the following prize options: an experience voucher, a charity donation, Just Eat credit or £50 in cash.
